Removing Barriers to Diversity in Entrepreneurship
The entrepreneurship centres of John Abbott College, Collège Gérald-Godin and Vanier College are pleased to announce the 2022 Student Innovation Gala which will be held on April 27 at the Salle Pauline-Julien at Cégep Gérald-Godin.
Sponsored by Pfizer, the event is an opportunity for Montreal CEGEP students to pitch project ideas that propose a solution to a local or global problem of their choice, on the theme of Diversity in Entrepreneurship. This event will provide students with the opportunity to develop soft skills and find solutions to real-world problems.
Prior to this year’s gala, John Abbott, Vanier and Gérald-Godin will incorporate events and themes into their activities with the objective of breaking down barriers to participation and promoting opportunities for the entire student population to build innovative projects that will have a positive impact on their local communities.
At the end of the event, a jury will determine the winner of the Pfizer grand prize. Prizes will also be awarded to the second and third place teams.
“Pfizer Canada is proud to support the 2022 Student Innovation Gala and its theme of diversity in entrepreneurship,” explained Vincent Lamoureux, Director, Global Health and Social Impact, Developed Markets at Pfizer. “Equity is one of our core values at Pfizer and we aim to transform society by amplifying equity initiatives in our community. We hope to be inspiring role models as Pfizer was recently named one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers and one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People for 2022.”
