Doors thrown open at John Abbott College | Portes ouvertes réussies au Cégep John Abbott

Saturday, October 22 was the day John Abbott College threw open its doors and welcomed more interested young people than ever before. Seven thousand seven hundred guests asked questions of faculty, employees and current students while many also took in an accident scene simulation set up by three career program groups.

Students from Police Technology, Paramedic Care and Nursing set the scene outside for a situation involving a driver under the influence and pedestrians. The scenario attracted the attention of many onlookers.

The entire campus was abuzz with energy not seen since January 2020 as visitors learned about the various programs of study offered and the variety of student services for which the College is renowned. Guided tours were also organized to allow people to visit classrooms, buildings and common areas throughout the College.

Former students, now parents, shared memories with faculty and staff. They took the opportunity to sign up for the Abbott Alumni Registry to be notified of events and activities planned by the College and the Foundation.
