Exciting News: The New Outdoor Learning Space at John Abbott College is Now Officially Open!
After years of planning and dedication, we are thrilled to announce the official opening of our brand-new outdoor learning space! This innovative project was the brainchild of an alumni of the college, who conducted a research project on the many benefits of being outdoors and connecting with nature. It’s a testament to the creativity and forward-thinking of our students, and we’re excited to see it come to life.

The outdoor classroom offers an incredible opportunity for both students and faculty. Teachers and staff gathered to explore how this new space could enhance the learning experience and well-being of all by integrating the natural environment into their teaching practices. From benches and chairs to white boards and power installations for electronics, the space is fully equipped to support both traditional lessons and more creative outdoor activities.

Attendees also had the chance to visit our nearby student garden, where they learned about the eco-friendly installations designed to nurture bee colonies as part of our ongoing ecological initiatives. This is just one example of how we work diligently to promote sustainability on campus.

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life. Your dedication is deeply appreciated. We can’t wait for our students and faculty to take full advantage of this amazing space for years to come!
