JOINT SCIENCE SYMPOSIUM FOR JOHN ABBOTT AND VANIER COLLEGES
Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue – April 26, 2016 –Thursday, April 28, Vanier College joins
John Abbott College students for a joint science symposium, sharing the results of their original scientific research.
The Independent Research Project in Science course is a new approach to science class. Students participate in research in a bustling microbiology lab, a state-of-the-art microscopy facility, an internationally-recognised research institute, or a newly minted research space nestled within a college.
Both Vanier and John Abbott students presenting their work on Thursday are strong, motivated students keen to experience the excitement of original scientific research first hand.
This group of dedicated teenagers who are graduating this semester, are continuing their post-secondary education in scientific research, others in teaching, medical practice or law. There is nothing outside the realm of possibilities for this group.
The projects will be presented from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Atrium of the Anne-Marie Edward Science building at John Abbott College Abbott College. The poster sessions and oral presentations cover a very broad range of scientific disciplines.
