  • Cet grille de cours est destiné aux étudiants non titulaires d’un certificat.

  • Les étudiant(e)s qui ont besoin d’un cours de mise à niveau en anglais ou en français devront le réussir avant de pouvoir suivre leur cours d’introduction en anglais ou en français. 
  • Les étudiant(e)s devront également réussir l’évaluation sommative en Gestion de commerce.

BUSINESS FUNDAMENTALS | 410-181-AB

This course serves as a starting point for understanding the role of business within the Canadian and global economy. This course will introduce the student to basic business structure, concepts, vocabulary and thinking.

BUSINESS COMPUTER APPLICATIONS 1 | 410-182-AB

This course serves as an introduction to business computer applications that includes email and scheduling, office productivity software (documents, spreadsheets and presentation) and an introduction to virtual meeting software.

INTRODUCTION TO FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING | 410-183-AB

This course introduces the fundamentals of financial accounting. Students learn to prepare financial statements and apply the accounting process for service and merchandising businesses. The course concludes with accounting software applications.

ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT | 410-184-AB

This course explores coordination within organizational administration, with a focus on systems, safety, and support functions. Emphasizes hands-on assignments that build applied understanding of effective administrative practices.

ENGLISH | 603-101-MQ

Les étudiant(e)s doivent réussir quatre (4) cours d’anglais pour obtenir leur DEC. Les cours 603-102 et 603-103 peuvent être suivis dans n’importe quel ordre seulement après avoir réussi le cours 603-101. Le cours 603-200-MQ est le quatrième et dernier cours d’anglais requis.

FRANÇAIS | 602-1__-MQ

Chaque étudiant(e) a besoin d’un cours de chacun des blocs « A » et « B » pour compléter son DEC. Pour chaque bloc, il y a quatre niveaux de cours.

Le placement dans le niveau de français approprié est déterminé par les notes obtenues au secondaire. Le département de français se réserve le droit de changer le placement d’un(e) étudiant(e) sur notification écrite. Les étudiant(e)s suivent le cours du bloc « B » au même niveau que le cours du bloc « A ».

Si le test de classement détermine que les étudiant(e)s n’ont pas un niveau de compétence en français correspondant à celui d’un cégep, il peut leur être demandé de suivre un cours de mise-à-niveau pour améliorer leur connaissance de la langue.  Voir la liste des cours

BUSINESS COMPUTER APPLICATIONS 2 | 410-281-AB

This course develops on the business productivity software introduced in Business Computer Applications 1. Advanced topics are covered specifically in the areas of document and spreadsheet management.

COMMUNICATING & NEGOTIATING FOR BUSINESS SUCCESS | 410-282-AB

This course develops written, verbal, and digital communication strategies for the workplace. Students practice professional writing, persuasive messaging, and effective business negotiation in both individual and team settings.

Additionally, the course helps students prepare for internships, job applications, and effective participation in the Alternance Travail-Études (ATE) program, aligning with the program’s goal of readying students for roles across private, public, and nonprofit sectors.

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING | 410-283-AB

This course is designed to equip students with an understanding of the role of Management Accounting within the framework of an organization.

MARKETING ESSENTIALS | 410-284-AB

This course provides an overview of core marketing concepts including market segmentation, product positioning, pricing, distribution, and promotion. Students explore how businesses create and deliver value to target audiences.

This course introduces students to the principles and tools of project management. Topics include project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and the use of software to track project progress. It also helps students understand what is needed to pursue a career in Project Management.

SPECIALIZED TOPICS IN ACCOUNTING | 410-382-AB

This is an intermediate accounting course that explores topics in financial and management accounting with an emphasis on analysis.

ADVANCED DATA MANAGEMENT & REPORTING | 410-383-AB

This course develops advanced data handling and analysis skills using database and spreadsheet software. Students learn to clean, structure, analyze, and visualize business data to support decision making.

WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT FUNDAMENTALS | 410-384-AB

This course introduces students to the creation of business websites across various digital environments, beginning with online marketplaces, followed by content management applications, and e-commerce platforms. Students learn to organize content, apply branding, and adapt layouts to different business needs and user experiences.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT | 410-385-AB

This introductory course offers students a comprehensive understanding of HRM’s strategic significance in modern organizations. It covers key functions such as workforce planning, recruitment, training, and performance management, while emphasizing the importance of fostering a positive organizational culture and employee engagement.

Les étudiant(e)s sont encouragé(e)s à choisir des cours dans des matières qui ne font pas partie de leur programme d’études;

This course explores how businesses plan and design visual content for marketing products and services. Students create branded materials such as posters, videos, and social media content using various design tools, while applying principles of layout, typography, and visual identity.

This course provides an overview of the federal and provincial regulations impacting business management. Students examine legal principles related to business ownership, civil responsibility, contract law, property, employment, and bankruptcy, and learn to assess the legal and ethical implications of business decisions.

SUPPLY CHAIN & LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT | 410-485-AB

This course offers a comprehensive exploration of the principles and practices essential for effective management within the supply chain and logistics sector. This course develops knowledge and skills in personal and small business taxation. Students begin with core tax concepts, including progressive tax structures and filing requirements, and build on payroll topics from earlier courses to complete a company payroll with T4 and Relevé 1 summaries. The course also covers capital cost allowance, rental and small business income, and includes hands-on work with tax software.

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING | 410-682-AB

The objective of this course is to help students implement an effective social media strategy. This involves understanding various social media platforms, their key features, and audience profiles in order to execute

targeted advertising campaigns. Students will also learn to effectively schedule content and produce engaging media, including graphics, videos, live streams, and stories.
