- This program planner is for students who are certificate holders to English-language education AND who are placed at the 101 in college level French or lower.
- This program planner is for students who are certificate holders to English-language education AND who are placed at the 102 or 103 in college level French.
- This program planner is for students who are non-certificate holders.
- Students who require a mise à niveau English or French course will be required to pass it before they can take their introductory course in English or French.
- Students will be required to pass a Ministerial Exam of Language of Instruction and a Program Comprehensive Assessment in Business Administration.

BUSINESS FUNDAMENTALS | 410-181-AB
This course serves as a starting point for understanding the role of business within the Canadian and global economy. This course will introduce the student to basic business structure, concepts, vocabulary and thinking.
BUSINESS COMPUTER APPLICATIONS 1 | 410-182-AB
This course serves as an introduction to business computer applications that includes email and scheduling, office productivity software (documents, spreadsheets and presentation) and an introduction to virtual meeting software.
INTRODUCTION TO FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING | 410-183-AB
This course introduces the fundamentals of financial accounting. Students learn to prepare financial statements and apply the accounting process for service and merchandising businesses. The course concludes with accounting software applications.
ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT | 410-184-AB
This course explores coordination within organizational administration, with a focus on systems, safety, and support functions. Emphasizes hands-on assignments that build applied understanding of effective administrative practices.

ENGLISH | 603-101-MQ
Students are required to successfully complete four (4) English courses to obtain their DEC. Courses 603-102 and 603-103 may be taken in either order only after successfully completing 603-101. Course 603-200-MQ is the 4th and last English course required. Click here to view courses list.
FRENCH | 602-1__-MQ
Every student needs one of each of the Block “A” and Block “B” courses in order to complete their DEC. For each block, there are four levels of courses: Level 1 , Level 2 , Level 3 and Level 4.
Placement in the appropriate level of French is determined by the students’ high school marks. The French Department reserves the right to change the placement of a student upon written notice. Students take the Block “B” course at the same level as the Block “A” course.
If placement determines that students do not have a college level of proficiency in French, students may be required to take remedial courses to upgrade their knowledge of the language.Click here to view courses list.

This course develops on the business productivity software introduced in Business Computer Applications 1. Advanced topics are covered specifically in the areas of document and spreadsheet management.
COMMUNICATING & NEGOTIATING FOR BUSINESS SUCCESS | 410-282-AB
This course develops written, verbal, and digital communication strategies for the workplace. Students practice professional writing, persuasive messaging, and effective business negotiation in both individual and team settings.
Additionally, the course helps students prepare for internships, job applications, and effective participation in the Alternance Travail-Études (ATE) program, aligning with the program’s goal of readying students for roles across private, public, and nonprofit sectors.

This course develops knowledge and skills in personal and small business taxation. Students begin with core tax concepts, including progressive tax structures and filing requirements, and build on payroll topics from earlier courses to complete a company payroll with T4 and Relevé 1 summaries. The course also covers capital cost allowance, rental and small business income, and includes hands-on work with tax software.
