IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS – STRIKE DAY NOVEMBER 6, 2023

Dear student,

We have been informed that our employee unions are planning to participate in a province-wide strike day on Monday, November 6, 2023.

We would like to share the following important information with you:

  • The strike is scheduled from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 a.m. (midnight to noon);
  • Due to the strike the College will be closed from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 a.m. (midnight to noon);
  • All classes and labs (day division and continuing education) are cancelled until 12:00 p.m. (noon);
  • The College will re-open at 12:00 p.m. (noon);
  • Classes and labs scheduled at that time are expected to take place (i.e. classes that start before or/at 12:00 p.m. (noon) that end after 12:00 p.m. (noon) will take place starting at noon) and will continue until the scheduled end time;
  • All classes and labs starting after 12:00 p.m. (noon) will take place as planned;
  • Information will be communicated directly by the program coordinators and/or teachers to all students who have a stage and/or clinical scheduled on Monday, November 6.
  • Evening credit courses will take place as planned;
  • Portal message will be posted at 6:00 a.m. on Monday to give any updates

Please note that information will be posted on the Portal in the event that the strike day is cancelled. If this is the case, the College will open as normal as of 7:00 a.m. on November 6 and morning classes will be held.
