Il a encourag\u00e9 l\u2019ouverture et le dialogue autour des difficult\u00e9s personnelles, rappelant que la r\u00e9duction de la stigmatisation commence lorsque les personnes se sentent en s\u00e9curit\u00e9 pour parler honn\u00eatement de leur v\u00e9cu.<\/p>\n<p>Un \u00e9l\u00e9ment central du discours fut le partage de son propre parcours de vie. Insistant sur l\u2019importance de parler ouvertement de sant\u00e9 mentale, le Dr\u202fBacon a \u00e9voqu\u00e9 avec franchise son enfance, ses luttes contre la d\u00e9pression et certaines p\u00e9riodes de consommation comme m\u00e9canismes d\u2019adaptation. Il a t\u00e9moign\u00e9 avec fiert\u00e9 de son cheminement vers la gu\u00e9rison, facilit\u00e9 par des \u00e9v\u00e9nements marquants de sa vie \u2014 dont le fait de devenir parent \u2014 ainsi que par la recherche de soutien en sant\u00e9 mentale, soulignant que son seul regret avait \u00e9t\u00e9 de ne pas entreprendre une d\u00e9marche th\u00e9rapeutique plus t\u00f4t.<\/p>\n<p>Tout au long de son discours, le Dr\u202fBacon a mis en lumi\u00e8re un message cl\u00e9 : les comportements qui peuvent sembler confrontant ou marqu\u00e9s par le repli sont souvent enracin\u00e9s dans une d\u00e9tresse int\u00e9rieure, et la compassion ainsi que la compr\u00e9hension sont essentielles au processus de gu\u00e9rison. Il a soulign\u00e9 que les enjeux de sant\u00e9 mentale font partie de la condition humaine et que demander de l\u2019aide est un signe de r\u00e9silience et de force.<\/p>\n<p>Il a \u00e9galement r\u00e9fl\u00e9chi au r\u00f4le d\u00e9terminant de l\u2019\u00e9ducation dans son propre d\u00e9veloppement, expliquant comment ses \u00e9tudes en neuropsychologie lui ont fourni des outils de compr\u00e9hension de soi et un sens \u00e0 son engagement.
