Ce fonds a pour mission d\u2019aider les \u00e9tudiants du C\u00e9gep John Abbott en difficult\u00e9 financi\u00e8re.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Le 19 mars, les \u00e9tudiant(e)s, membres du personnel et du corps professoral, anciens \u00e9tudiant(e)s ainsi que le grand public ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 \u201cLa folie des huards\u201d, en d\u00e9posant des pi\u00e8ces de un dollar le long de rubans adh\u00e9sifs doubles faces qui parcouraient le couloir principal du Coll\u00e8ge (213 m \/ 700 pi).<\/p>\n<p>Cette ann\u00e9e \u00e9tait particuli\u00e8rement sp\u00e9ciale, car <strong>Beacon Holdings Inc. a \u00e9gal\u00e9 les dons jusqu\u2019\u00e0 concurrence de 15 000 $!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u00ab Quarante pourcent des \u00e9tudiant(e)s au Qu\u00e9bec font face \u00e0 une certaine ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire. D\u2019apr\u00e8s notre exp\u00e9rience au C\u00e9gep John Abbott, nous savons que rien que ce semestre, 30 \u00e9tudiant(e)s d\u00e9pendent du Fonds d\u2019aide aux \u00e9tudiants pour poursuivre leurs \u00e9tudes et se nourrir r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement. Nous sommes fiers d\u2019appuyer chaque \u00e9tudiant(e) dans le besoin gr\u00e2ce aux diverses campagnes de financement que nous organisons tout au long de l\u2019ann\u00e9e scolaire. \u00bb<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Debbie Cribb, Coordonnatrice des services de communication du C\u00e9gep John Abbott et de la Fondation du C\u00e9gep John Abbott<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lanc\u00e9e en 2003 par des employ\u00e9(e)s du C\u00e9gep John Abbott, \u201cLa folie des huards\u201d a pour objectif d\u2019aider les \u00e9tudiant(e)s en d\u00e9tresse financi\u00e8re. Depuis sa cr\u00e9ation et en incluant les r\u00e9sultats de cette ann\u00e9e, cette initiative a permis d\u2019amasser plus de <strong>431 500 $<\/strong>, <strong>100 % des fonds \u00e9tant directement vers\u00e9s au Fonds d\u2019aide aux \u00e9tudiants du C\u00e9gep John Abbott.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le <strong>Fonds d\u2019aide aux \u00e9tudiants<\/strong> a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en place pour garantir que chaque \u00e9tudiant ait une chance \u00e9gale de terminer ses \u00e9tudes et d\u2019atteindre ses objectifs.
