Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Qu\u00e9bec \u2013 <\/span>le <\/span>12<\/span> d\u00e9cembre<\/span> 2024<\/span> \u2013 <\/span><\/strong>Le C\u00e9gep John Abbott a r\u00e9cemment re\u00e7u une subvention de ECAIT Canada (\u00c9ducation coop\u00e9rative et apprentissage int\u00e9gr\u00e9 au travail) pour venir en aide \u00e0 un peu plus de 60 <\/span>apprenant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s adultes. La subvention a \u00e9t\u00e9 accord\u00e9e pour le projet intitul\u00e9 <\/span>Internship<\/span> experience<\/span> (WIL) for <\/span>adult<\/span> learners<\/span> in intensive <\/span>technical<\/span> programs <\/span>with<\/span> an <\/span>emphasis<\/span> on <\/span>both<\/span> technical<\/span> and soft <\/span>skills<\/span> for the <\/span>workplace<\/span> (Exp\u00e9rience de stage (AIT) pour <\/span>les apprenant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s adultes inscrits \u00e0 des programmes techniques intensifs mettant l’accent sur les comp\u00e9tences techniques et non techniques en milieu de travail). <\/span><\/p>\n

La subvention a \u00e9t\u00e9 sp\u00e9cifiquement accord\u00e9e au <\/span>Service<\/span> de<\/span> la<\/span> formation continue pour les <\/span>\u00e9tudiant<\/span>e<\/span>s et <\/span>\u00e9tudiants de quatre programmes d’AEC (<\/span>Attestation d’\u00e9tudes coll\u00e9giales<\/span>) : D\u00e9veloppeur Full Stack, Comptabilit\u00e9 appliqu\u00e9e et administration, D\u00e9veloppement d’applications mobiles et Administration de r\u00e9seaux. Pour obtenir leur dipl\u00f4me dans l’un de ces programmes, les \u00e9tudiant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s doivent effectuer un stage (AIT)<\/span>;<\/span> ils[elles]<\/span> utilisent les comp\u00e9tences techniques et non techniques acquises tout au long du programme et les mettent en \u0153uvre dans un environnement de travail.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ce financement a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le d\u00e9terminant en apportant une aide financi\u00e8re essentielle aux \u00e9tudiant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s adultes qui reprennent leurs \u00e9tudes. Il leur permet de se concentrer davantage sur leurs exp\u00e9riences de stage en r\u00e9duisant la pression li\u00e9e \u00e0 l’\u00e9quilibre entre le travail \u00e0 temps partiel et les \u00e9tudes \u00e0 temps plein. Par cons\u00e9quent, ces \u00e9tudiant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s sont mieux plac\u00e9<\/span>[e]<\/span>s pour r\u00e9ussir, obtenir leur dipl\u00f4me et entrer plus rapidement sur le march\u00e9 du travail, contribuant ainsi \u00e0 leur bien-\u00eatre \u00e9conomique personnel et soutenant plus rapidement l’\u00e9conomie du Canada.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

La majorit\u00e9 des \u00e9tudiant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s des programmes d’AEC sont des adultes qui ont souvent leur propre famille et leurs propres responsabilit\u00e9s. R\u00e9cemment, de plus en plus de stages ne sont pas r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9s, ce qui oblige <\/span>plusieurs <\/span>\u00e9tudiant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s \u00e0 choisir leur stage en fonction de leur situation financi\u00e8re. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la subvention d’ECAIT, les \u00e9tudiant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s recevront un financement pendant leur stage, ce qui leur permettra d’en choisir un qui soit plus int\u00e9ressant et qui corresponde \u00e0 leurs comp\u00e9tences. Les \u00e9tudiant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s peuvent ainsi s’immerger pleinement dans <\/span>une <\/span>exp\u00e9rience<\/span> pratique<\/span> sans avoir \u00e0 se soucier des d\u00e9penses connexes telles que le transport, la garde d’enfants, les v\u00eatements, etc. <\/span><\/p>\n

ECAIT Canada est heureux de soutenir des exp\u00e9riences d’AIT novatrices pour <\/span>les \u00e9tudiant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s du C\u00e9gep John Abbott, o\u00f9 ils<\/span>[elles]<\/span> peuvent<\/span> b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d’un soutien financier et d’une reconnaissance pour leur exp\u00e9rience d’AIT. Des fonds comme celui-ci visent \u00e0 \u00e9liminer les obstacles \u00e0 l’AIT et \u00e0 accro\u00eetre l’acc\u00e8s <\/span>aux<\/span> \u00e9tudiant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s de niveau postsecondaire.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Le <\/span>Service<\/span> de <\/span>la <\/span>formation continue du C\u00e9gep John Abbott a re\u00e7u plusieurs subventions d’ECAIT dans le pass\u00e9. En 2021, trois subventions ont \u00e9t\u00e9 accord\u00e9es pour un total de 82 800 $. En 2023, 162 000 dollars ont \u00e9t\u00e9 accord\u00e9s. Toutes ces subventions \u00e9taient li\u00e9es \u00e0 la formation en milieu de travail pour <\/span>les \u00e9tudiant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s de programmes techniques. <\/span><\/p>\n

Dans le cadre de la subvention, le <\/span>Service<\/span> de <\/span>la <\/span>formation continue a organis\u00e9 un \u00e9v\u00e9nement de reconnaissance des employeurs. Les partenaires de stage et les mentors ont \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9s au C<\/span>\u00e9gep<\/span> et<\/span>ont pu rencontrer <\/span>des membres de <\/span>l’administration et les \u00e9tudiant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s. Les partenaires et les mentors ont \u00e9t\u00e9 remerci\u00e9s pour leur soutien et ont re\u00e7u un certificat de la part des \u00e9tudiant<\/span>[e]<\/span>s et du <\/span>C<\/span>\u00e9gep<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c0 propos du C\u00e9gep John Abbott<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Le C\u00e9gep John Abbott est un c\u00e9gep public de langue anglaise qui dessert une client\u00e8le \u00e9tudiante de plus en plus diversifi\u00e9e, dont quelque 6,500 \u00e9tudiants \u00e0 temps plein par session dans les programmes r\u00e9guliers et 2,000 \u00e9tudiants par ann\u00e9e inscrits \u00e0 la Formation continue. Le C\u00e9gep est situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, sur la pointe ouest de l\u2019\u00cele de Montr\u00e9al.<\/span><\/p>\n
