La troisi\u00e8me \u00e9dition du D\u00e9fi innovation verte, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par Pfizer Canada, s’est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e le vendredi 12 janvier au C\u00e9gep John Abbott.<\/p>\n

Inspir\u00e9 du concept \u00ab Startup Weekend, \u00bb sept \u00e9quipes, compos\u00e9es d’un total de 22 \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants de diff\u00e9rents c\u00e9geps de Montr\u00e9al, se sont mises au d\u00e9fi de conceptualiser et pr\u00e9senter un projet complet \u00e0 un panel de juges, et ce en 12 heures seulement, dans l’espoir que leur projet soit s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 pour recevoir un prix du C\u00e9gep et de Pfizer Canada. L’objectif du d\u00e9fi est de d\u00e9velopper une id\u00e9e pratique qui peut servir \u00e0 trouver une solution \u00e0 un probl\u00e8me du monde r\u00e9el.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 la fin de la journ\u00e9e, les \u00e9quipes ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 leur projet \u00e0 un panel de juges compos\u00e9 de Cynthia Aboud (Vice-pr\u00e9sidente \u00e0 Accord Financial Inc.), Gary Whittaker (Professeur en entrepreneuriat \u00e0 McGill et au Service de formation continue au C\u00e9gep John Abbott), et Tracey McKee (Directrice adjointe des \u00e9tudes pour la formation g\u00e9n\u00e9rale et les programmes d\u2019arts au C\u00e9gep John Abbott).<\/p>\n

Au cours de ces 12 heures de travail intensif, des \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants des c\u00e9geps John Abbott, Dawson et Vanier se sont lanc\u00e9s dans la r\u00e9solution de probl\u00e8mes li\u00e9s au changement climatique et \u00e0 la durabilit\u00e9. Ils ont travaill\u00e9 sans rel\u00e2che pour cr\u00e9er des projets innovants, qu\u2019ils ont ensuite pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s \u00e0 notre panel de juges. Avec seulement quelques heures pour se pr\u00e9parer, nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s impressionn\u00e9s par leurs pr\u00e9sentations ! Nous sommes heureux de pouvoir soutenir les \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants \u00e0 travailler sur leurs projets tout au long de l’ann\u00e9e scolaire.

Les gagnant(e)s re\u00e7oivent le premier prix de Pfizer Canada pour les aider \u00e0 mettre en \u0153uvre le projet D\u00e9givrer avec des cornichons.<\/em><\/p>\n

Le grand prix de Pfizer Canada, d’une valeur de 1000 $, a \u00e9t\u00e9 remis \u00e0 l’\u00e9quipe compos\u00e9e de<\/p>\n

Sonia Hussain, Joshua Nicodemo, Olivia Preiss et Kayley Zaidi pour leur projet : D\u00e9givrer avec des cornichons. Le projet vise \u00e0 mettre en place un programme au C\u00e9gep John Abbott permettant de d\u00e9glacer les routes \u00e0 l’aide d’une solution combin\u00e9e de saumure de cornichon et de sel gemme. L’objectif du projet est de r\u00e9duire l’utilisation de sels gemmes sur le campus afin d’aider \u00e0 \u00e9liminer l’impact environnemental sur la flore et la faune.<\/p>\n

En deuxi\u00e8me place, avec un prix de 500 $, Med Go par Iba Malhi et Andrea Sanchez est une application qui vise \u00e0 sensibiliser les gens \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re de disposer de leurs m\u00e9dicaments en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9, afin de r\u00e9duire les effets n\u00e9gatifs sur l’environnement. Enfin, en troisi\u00e8me place, avec un prix de 250 $, Dannica Davies, Zoey Webster, Ella Cloutier, Nathan Wan, Emma Yee souhaitent, avec leur projet Wheat Reuse, int\u00e9grer des assiettes, des bols et des ustensiles en paille de bl\u00e9 \u00e0 la caf\u00e9t\u00e9ria.<\/p>\n
