|Prerequisites||Programming experience in an Object-Oriented Language such as Java, Objective-C, C++, C# (but not C, see below).
Ability to program HTML/CSS alone (or XML, or SQL) is not an acceptable prerequisite.
|Target Audience||Programmers who want to learn how to create their first mobile applications for iPhone or iPad.|

NB. This is a non-credit course. Certificate provided for all participants who have completed 80% of course hours
*No textbook is required for this course.
This course will give each participant their first experience in programming on Apple’s iOS platform for mobile devices. It will start by introducing Objective-C language which is used on this platform. After that course focuses on introducing the tools, mainly Xcode development environment and quickly moves to practically developing first mobile applications. By the end of the course each participant will have developed at least a few simple mobile applications.
The following topics will be covered:
- Practical introduction to Objective-C
- Development tools (Xcode)
- Overview of basic iOS libraries and visual controls
- Practical development of simple iOS applications
