Men’s Volleyball Could not Close the Deal

The Isles had a shot at their first regular season title in the 9 years since the rebirth of the program. All that was needed was a victory in the last match of the day against St Jerome, unfortunately fatigue and injuries got the better if the Isles.  They ended the day 2-2 with victories against Montmorency (25-21, 25-19), Edouard Montpetit (15-25, 25-16, 15-10) combined with losses to Abitibi (25-27, 23-25) and St Jerome (19-25, 19-25).

The Isles will finish in 2nd place overall, still their best result in 9 years. This will set-up a quarter final showdown at the southwest Conference Championship against Marianopolis at 10h30 on Sunday March 19th. The tournament will be held at Champlain St Lambert. The top four seeds at the conclusion of the championship will be granted access to the Provincial Championship in Chicoutimi April 1-2.
